According to NORML, a well-known international organization that focuses on marijuana advocacy, the punishment for anyone caught using or selling marijuana in Austria differs depending on the number of previous offenses. The level of one’s punishment for either possession or purchase of cannabis is also affected by the amount of weed involved.
NORML pointed out that, usually, cases are withdrawn for first-time cannabis offenders (no health report needed). However, the penalty for the next bust will be dependent on the quantity found in their possession. It could range from paying a fine to serving time in prison (up to 6 months). Also, note that if certain conditions are met, charges can also be dropped if it only involves small amount of cannabis.

You can walk around or just simply sit on a bench and look around for a group of Albanians or a couple of black guys. They usually wear clothes that can be considered as hip-hop.
